Some older atm versions read the card even if the chip is fried, i know this coz on monday my card was read but the machine asked for a pin. depending on your country you might be fortunate enough to find atms that still read magstrip if the chip is fried.

I came across an old carding article that stated that carders in Europe were making duplicates on yescards and that way they were able to surpass the card pin by making their own pin. This still doesn't make sense to me but if anybody knows of the yescard method, please share. Does it still work?
