Anyone have a working method to intercepting e-transfers?

Was just chatting with an associate of mine earlier today and he'd mentioned a people have been using burpsuite to intercept interact e-transfers then either guessing the password or phishing it. Unfortunately he didn't know any of the specifics with it because he's more of a face-to-face kinda guy (and a pretty reliable one at that)
If anyone knows of a technique and is willing to share would be much appreciated

they use brute force with a payloads file of keywors on burpsuite and send te request back and make sure to have the same cookies session of the victim
