I think that a safer way to do it would be to card a gift card for the travel app you are using to book the hotel and then using the gift card to book the room. This would at least have plausible deniability to the fact of you having any knowledge to the room being booked with someone elses card. People buy and sell gift cards online all the time and you could always say that you bought a gift card and had no knowledge to how the gift card was purchased.

I have been living in 4-5 Star hotels with corporate T&E for about a year. With room service. They actually insulate me legally because I am always “just visiting” or a “guest”. Cops are stupid.
