Do you have to do anything to chips on blank cards?

Hi guys.

Wabt to have a go at making my own cards.

Ive got the necessary equipment like embroider and mag stripe reader/writer.

I have found some blank cards online with chip and mag stripe. But once ive written the data on the mag stripe, do i need to do anything to the chip on the card? I always thought there would be some kind of data on the gold chips themselves. Might be wrong but seems a little easy lol

Any help appreciated :)

It should work if you encode the chip.
However, I still struggle to cashout even after encoding the chip and having the right PIN, any help would be welcome.
